EVERY UNIT should submit a nomination for the Outstanding Unit Leadership Awards. There are wonderful, unsung hero leaders in every unit. Nominate them for an award! They do not have to be the Cubmaster, Scoutmaster or Crew Advisor -- they can be nominations for any registered leader that has worked their tails off to provide the Scouting program to your unit. It could be the amazing person who keeps up with your advancements; The person who organizes your unit outings; Someone who works hard not only in your unit but in the community. Nominate them! Do You Know of a Stand-Out Leader Who Deserves the District Award of Merit?
The Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts in the same manner that the Silver Beaver is a national award presented by councils. The award is available to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level. A nominee must have rendered noteworthy service to youth in Scouting, outside Scouting, or both.  DEADLINE JANUARY 16th.
